How to answer customer messages on Instagram fast

Last updated: 2026-10-24

Answer the repeated questions quickly with ready answers written in advance, send the product link instead of explaining everything from the start, and follow up the customer who said "I'll think" after one day. A customer who waits long may move to another page, so the easier you make it and the shorter the distance between their question and their order, the better it is for your shop.

The questions that repeat every day

  • How much is this?
  • Is it available?
  • Do you deliver to my province and how much?
  • How do I pay?
  • Is this size or colour available?

Write ready answers

Write the answer to each question once and save it to copy whenever you need it. If your account is a business account it has a "saved replies" feature, otherwise keep them in your phone notes. An example for illustration only:

  • Price: "The price is 25,000 IQD, and the details are in the link".
  • Delivery: "We deliver to every province, and the fee for yours shows when you order".
  • Payment: "Cash on delivery, you pay the courier after you receive it".
  • How much is this? The price is 25,000 IQD, and the details are in the link
  • Do you deliver to my province? We deliver to every province, and the fee shows when you order
  • How do I pay?Cash on delivery, you pay the courier after you receive it

Send the link instead of explaining

The product link shows the price, the options and the photo, and the customer can order from it directly. Sending it is faster than typing all the details in every chat.

  1. Customer asks
  2. You send a ready answer
  3. You send the product link
  4. Customer orders by themselves
  5. The complete order reaches you

Organise your messages

  • Start with customers who want to order now, then the general questions.
  • Write a short note of who is waiting for what, so you forget nobody.
  • Set your reply hours and write them in the bio, and if your account has an auto-reply, use it.
  • Ask for the address and details once, not over scattered messages.

The customer who said "I'll think"

Many customers say "I'll think" and then disappear. Send them one short message after a day, once and politely, such as "Hi, if you have any question about the product I'm here". Do not push more than that.

How Tisawag helps

In Tisawag the customer sees the price and options and writes their name and address themselves, so there are fewer questions to answer, and the order reaches you complete on WhatsApp instead of dozens of messages. Every product has a direct link you send in your reply, and the customer can check their order status on their own from the order tracking page without messaging "where is my order?".

Common questions

How long can I take to reply?
The faster the better, and if you cannot, write your reply hours in the bio so the customer knows how long to wait.
Should I use ready answers or write to each customer?
Use ready answers for the repeated questions, and add the customer's name or a short personal line so it does not look like a machine wrote it.
What do I do if the customer says "I'll think"?
Leave them a day, then send one short polite message, and do not repeat it.
How do I get fewer "where is my order?" messages?
In Tisawag the customer enters their phone number and order number on the tracking page and sees the status without messaging you.
